The gong bath finishes at 6.30am on 21st and then we gather around the fire to connect back with the earth. This is the longest day and shortest night in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the planetary moment when the tilt of the Earth brings us closest to the sun. We are fully awake. Our spirits are alive, refreshed, renewed, energised; all that good, juicy, rich stuff we feel in the sun. We are the closest to the sun that we will be all year. That means we are currently being bathed in the energy of the sun.
The puja is an opportunity to drop into ourselves and to surrender to the guidance of our inner wisdom, to rest and perhaps enter a lucid dreaming state. This 7 1/2 hour gong vibration and sound journey will take you to sunrise with 9 powerful gongs played by Sarah and Tim.

My teacher, grand gong master Don Conreaux, says a Gong Puja is a devotional ritual which honours and allows space for participants to heal in mind, body and spirit. The gong, in itself, facilitates self-healing. It guides us into a place of divine connection.

A gong puja, allows the body/mind/spirit to reap the benefits of a regular gong bath tenfold. Immersing in the sound vibrations of a gong can create opportunities to repair, rebuild, unlock and unblock. It helps to release mental, emotional and physical issues. A gong puja can increase one's energy and vitality. Participants have reported waking up refreshed and ready to face the day even if they did not sleep.

The Summer Solstice is The word “solstice” comes from the Latin words sol (“Sun”) and sistere (“to stand still”). For several days before and after the summer solstice, the Sun literally appears to stand still in the sky.

At this sacred time, the Earth’s axis reaches its maximum tilt toward the Sun, which has reached its highest point in our sky. It is here that we meet our longest and most sun-filled day of the year in the northern hemisphere.

This shifting of our surroundings is an invitation to lean into the shift that is occurring within each of us, too. It is through honouring the constant motion of the Earth and all of nature that we can honour our own cycles of change, growth, expansion, shedding, releasing, shifting, and more. Giving ourselves permission to change, just as the Earth does. Giving ourselves permission to let go when we know it is time, and to begin again when we are inspired to do so.

The history of sound for healing can be traced back thousands of years to the ancient Egyptians, Australia’s Aborigines and the Greek philosopher Pythagoras, the "Father of Mathematics" who utilised sound to treat mind and body ailments. This is a unique opportunity to bathe in the wide frequencies of the gongs for 7 1/2 hours.
